DNF Duel Open Beta Announced

Upcoming Dungeon Fighter fighting game DNF Duel has announced that it will be having an Open Beta this weekend, allowing you to try out the game for the first time.

They announced the DNF Duel Open Beta during a new trailer today, which also featured a new playable character, the Hitman, as well as teased silhouettes for more members of the game’s roster.

The Beta will be available for both PS5 and PS4 players, and presumably be released worldwide considering the timing was given in PST, KST and JST.

The DNF Duel Open Beta will start December 18th, 10am Malaysia Time (GMT+8) and will end on Monday, December 20th 10pm.

Despite the hype around it, there’s actually been very little confirmation about the features of DNF Duel- for one we don’t even know what kind of netcode it uses, or the universal mechanics that are going to be present in the game.

DNF Duel has garnered a lot of hype in the fighting game community, mixing the now-signature Arc System Works 3D Anime art style with what appears to be 8Ting’s signature hyper-style combat design from Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

Similarly we don’t know if they plan to reveal all the silhouette characters this week, ahead of their inclusion in the beta or if the beta build will only feature the currently-announced roster, or an even smaller one a la KOFXV.
