Disney Illusion Island Launches for Nintendo Switch This July

Disney in collaboration with developers Dlala Studios announced that Disney Illusion Island will launch for the Nintendo Switch on 28th July 2023.

“Fans are in for a treat with the upcoming launch of the whimsical cartoon-like experience offered by Disney Illusion Island,” said Luigi Priore, VP, Disney, Pixar and 20th Century Games. “We’re thrilled to work with developer Dlala Studios as they expand upon the Mickey & Friends world with a new and original storyline, engaging gameplay and delightful hand-drawn art style.”

Disney Illusion Island will have players embark on an adventure with Mickey Mouse in a local co-op 2D platform adventure game for up to four players. Join Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy as they set off on a quest to explore the colourfully hand-crafted yet mysterious island of Monoth in an escapade to recover three magical tomes used to protect the island.

Featuring the voice actors of Mickey and friends along with an original orchestral score, players can immerse themselves solo or with friends in local co-op to use special team skills to save the island. Discover rich biomes and never-before-seen environments and meet interesting characters along your journey. But the journey won’t be easy as not everything is what it seems on Illusion Island.
