Disgaea RPG went live in Japan about a month ago but was unfortunately shut down due to a variety of in-game problems that requires plenty of repair work in the coming months. A relaunch date was not announced but it’s rumoured to be three months from now.
To add fuel to the fire, one of the game’s developers, Nippon Ichi Software, also saw a big drop in its share price due to the constant maintenance delays of Disgaea RPG. To ease the frustration of fans, an apology statement was finally released a few days ago by both ForwardWorks and Nippon Ichi Software.
After a thorough investigation, it’s evident that the game is really in need of a complete overhaul in order to run smoothly in the future and both the developers are currently working on it. Those who’ve played the game prior to this will have their data erased and they’ll have to start all over again when the game relaunches.
Furthermore, installation of the game on the App Store and Google Play has also been suspended until further notice. On top of that, players who have made microtransactions will also have to wait for an announcement from the developers.
Stay tuned for more updates. *sobs*
