Digimon Vital Bracelet tamers are in for a treat as more gameplay modes and features such as Raid and Arena battles were revealed. Yesterday, the latest Digimon Classroom live stream from Bandai’s YouTube channel highlighted these new modes and mechanics. You can watch the live stream here:
Raid Battles and Arena Battles are upcoming PvE and PvP modes for the Vital Lab companion app and will not be available in the Digimon Vital Bracelet. These new features will arrive in a new update which is expected to arrive later this month.
The live stream showcased an Arena Battle between Agumon and Pulsemon. Unlike battles in the Vital Bracelet, players can directly influence battles in the Vital Lab app. Depending on the timing of a player when they press “STOP”, their Digimon will deliver their attack with greater effectiveness.
Note that similar rules in Vital Bracelet battles still apply here. Losing 3 battles while injured or getting injured four times a day will still result in a Digimon’s death. Type advantages also play a part in battles.
In addition, there will also be a new mechanic known as battle bonuses. Depending on the bonus, a Digimon may have bonuses such as increased evasion rate or higher damage.
Raid battles on the other hand is a cooperative effort against a Raid Boss. Battle mechanics are similar to Arena Battles.
Players can take part in 3 Arena Battles and 3 Raid Battles a day, with additional entries requiring Arena and Raid Tickets respectively. Both modes will be available for a certain period of time, with a ranking system to determine players’ standings. Players will be rewarded based on their ranking.
