During Rulicon 2022 earlier today, an online Korean gaming showcase, new gameplay for the upcoming SRPG Digimon Survive was revealed.
Subtitled in Korean and with Japanese voices, the gameplay takes place at around the 2:23 mark of the video below:
The gameplay starts off with a conversation between Labramon and Takuma Momozuka, the game’s protagonist. They’re joined in by Agumon, Minoru Hinata and Falcomon. In this short cutscene, the player can decide which choice they’ll like to take in the conservation, which may likely affect the outcome of various moments in the game.
The other part of the gameplay also features a battle between the player and an enemy Dokugumon. On the player’s side, Labramon, Kunemon and Agumon were fielded. Labramon starts off the fight by healing Kunemon. Next, the gameplay demonstrates how the direction in which a Digimon is facing will affect the damage they take. This was seen through Kunemon and Agumon attacking the Champion-level Digimon’s back and side respectively.
The gameplay ends with Agumon Digivolving into Greymon in the same fight, displaying the size difference between it and Takuma.
If the gameplay has got you hyped, know that Digimon Survive will release on July 28 (or 29, depending on your timezone) 2022 on Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
