Digimon Survive may have been delayed for years but it’s in your hands soon with the announcement of its worldwide release on July 29th, 2022, just one day after its Japanese release.
The was announced in a youtube video released by Bandai Namco featuring the game’s producer Habu Kazumasa:
If that’s not enough good news, we have also gotten our first look at the game’s box art.
First print copies of the game will also contain a code to add Digimon Tamers fan-favorite Guilmon to your party, giving a greater incentive for fans to pick it up at launch.
Digimon Survive is a visual novel with strategy RPG elements, revolving around a group of summer camp kids that end up trapped in the digital world and must find a way to survive.
While the game’s confirmed launch date is a good thing, it’s also a bit worrying that it will be released the same day as Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which had its release date moved up from September to July. I doubt Survive will have mind-blowing sales but hopefully, it’ll still bring in a solid profit, particularly considering it’s a multiplatform game while Xenoblade 3 is a Switch exclusive.
Digimon Survive will have a worldwide release for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on July 29th, 2022
