Digimon: New Generation CBT download available for overseas players

The closed beta test (CBT) for Digimon: New Generation, a China-exclusive title, is available for download even for overseas players.

The game, also known as Digimon: New Century is available on Android and only supports Chinese language options. However, unlike some other Chinese mobile game titles which require a phone number from China, Digimon New Generation does not have this requirement to download or to play.

Here are the specs for the game:

• System: Android 9.0 or above
• ROM (storage): not less than 3GB
• Game size: 1.9 GB (not including updates)

Getting Digimon: New Generation

We tried the game ourselves, and you can read our first impressions to learn more. We were able to test and play the game with the following method:

1. Download the bilibili app APK. Note, do not download via your local play store as you need the China version of the app. You can download the APK here.
2. Open 数码宝贝：新世纪 (Digimon New Generation) on the bilibili app. Tap the 下载 (download) button at the bottom to begin downloading.
3. Stage and open the game app when prompted. You will be met with the following screen:You will need either a WeChat or QQ account to play the game. We recommend overseas players to play the game with their WeChat account via the green button on the left. If you do not already have WeChat, you can download the app via Google Play Store.
4. Finally, tap the screen (not on the buttons) to start playing the closed beta build of the game.

Note that as this is not the official release, player progress will be wiped out when the game launches. Nevertheless, we hope you have fun trying out the game!
