Bandai has revealed story details regarding Digimon Liberator, an upcoming manga series adaptation based on the trading card game of the Digimon franchise.
According to the official Digimon Liberator website, they have revealed some story information about the upcoming manga. The story which features a character named Kazama Shoto is as follows:
“Kazama Shoto, a boy with a habit of giving up and a hard time winning card battles, sets foot into the world of Liberator through the invitation of his childhood friend, Kinosaki Arisa. Coming across Pteroman and the others, who are wild Digimon. Battles with NPCs that have gone berserk. These various encounters set the gears of fate in motion in a significant way. This is a story about Digimon and the world.”
Judging from the information, it looks like this upcoming Digimon series will follow Shoto and his friends going on an adventure while they summon their partners using cards.
The Digimon Liberator manga was initially announced a month ago, with the series set to release sometime in Spring 2024.
As of time of writing, the exact date as to when the Digimon Liberator manga will begin serialisation has yet to be announced aside from the release window, so fans will have to wait a bit longer for more information to drop.
