Paildramon is the next Digimon figure announced as part of the GEM series of figurines, as per an announcement at Digifes 2021.
While we haven’t seen the photo of the figure itself, we have been teased of its silhouette. The Paildramon figure shows off the Digimon in its iconic pose from its Digivolution sequence in Digimon Adventure 02, where it fires its Desperado Blasters to the beat of the insert song, Beat Hit!.
Currently, there’s no expected release date for the figure, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see more news about it alongside the recently announced Digimon 02 new Animation project that was leaked on Friday.
Aside from this, Bandai also announced reprints of two more figures in the GEM series, namely their figure of Wizardmon & Tailmon from Adventure 01, as well as Beelzemon and Impmon from Digimon Tamers. The reissues will be open for preorder this month, and reservations can be made through select retailers like AmiAmi.
Paildramon is the fusion of XVeemon and Stingmon, the Champion-form Digimon partners of protagonists Daisuke and Ken. Despite being a DNA Digivolved Pokemon, it had the distinction of still being able to Digivolve into Imperialdramon, the first Digimon to show this ability.
Digimon Adventure 02, as the name implies, is the follow up to the Digimon Adventure series. It follows a mostly new cast of characters, though features a grown up Hikari and Takeru from the original Adventure 01 series, as well as appearances by the rest of the Adventure cast later on.
