During the special livestream for the Digimon Vital Bracelet, Bandai Namco also took the opportunity to announce that the Digimon Card Game will be available in the English language. The card game will officially launched in North America, Europe and Oceania, in addition to Latin America. The Japanese version meanwhile has already been released in the Asia market.
On 29 January 2021, following a pre-sale that had already started on 27 November 2020, the Release Special Booster Ver 1.0 will go live, featuring cards from volumes one to three of the Japanese booster. The move serves to let players have a taste of what they can expect from the card game.
At the same time, three starter decks will be made available, which includes a Release Special Booster Ver 1.0 not found in the Japanese version. As a follow up, Bandai Namco will put out the Release Special Booster Ver 1.5 sometime in February 2021.
To help new players get up to speed, a Digimon Card Game Tutorial App is available for download for the Android and iOS platforms. Be sure to drop by the official website for more information and other promotional details. Bandai Namco certainly is confident releasing a game that requires face to face contact in order to properly experience during these tumultuous times, so it would be interesting to see how it turns out.
