As announced via X, a new PV is now being produced and will be showcased at the Digimon Adventure 25th Anniversary Exhibition that will be held at the Ikebukuro Sunshine City from August 10th to August 25th, 2024.
In the announcement, a teaser art piece was showcased, depicting seven phone booths alongside the characters and their Digimon partners of the anime series – from the left, we have Taichi with Agumon, Mimi and Palmon, Yamato and Takeru alongside Gabumon and Patamon, Izumi and Tentomon, Sora and Biyomon, and lastly Jo and Gomamon.
Interestingly, Kari Kamiya, Taichi’s sister and Tailmon’s partner, is absent from the artwork despite being one of the Chosen Child.
This year, Digimon Adventure, the first anime series of the franchise that was first released in 1999, will be celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The original series started as a film of the same name before beginning production 1.5 months later. It was released with great success and a sequel was quickly greenlit and aired in 2000.
For the series’ 15th anniversary, the six-part film series Digimon Adventure tri. was released. In 2020, Digimon Adventure received a reboot under the same title, with Fuji TV now handling production instead of Toei Animation.
