Deus Vult! The Crusader brings heavenly wrath down onto Diablo Immortal as the game begins its closed alpha in Australia. Together with this class, additional zones and even faction-based PvP were revealed in the later’s dev update.
You can watch Diablo Immortal director Wyatt Cheng explain this new content in the following video:
Part caster, part melee, the Crusader is the go-to tank who debuted back in Diablo III. Fans of the third game can certainly expect similar mechanics, but it will be interesting to see how the team reworks the Crusader in Diablo Immortal. Joining the Crusader in a later testing phase will be the Necromancer. Best of all, the Crusader and the other existing classes in the game will get to enjoy the increased level cap 45 to 55! You can learn more about the other classes in our overview of them during the previous alpha test.
Class and level cap aside, two new zones will be playable in alpha 2—Mount Zavain and Frozen Tundra.
Furthermore, a new PvP mode, Cycle of Strife, will be playable in this alpha test. Players will start out as Adventurers before choosing to become either Shadows or Immortals. Both factions have their own gameplay modes and goals to achieve.
Finally, the Helliquary is a new endgame system that will be implemented in this test. Through this system, players will be able to access a lot of new content that will result in a stronger character, such as unlocking two extra skills, a new Paragon Tree and more.
