With a long list of AAA games coming to the Nintendo Switch this year, we have Diablo III joining the list as well! This was actually announced by Forbes but it was taken down right after as it the news was supposed to be released tomorrow. Thanks to Redditer Riomegon who caught it and posted a link of it in the Reddit forum.
For those who remembered back in February 2018, Blizzard Entertainment had already teased on Twitter that Diablo is coming to Switch. See Blizzard being cheeky flipping the ‘switch’ of the Diablo night light? 😀

Of course, this was pretty much expected as we’ve had so many great games coming to the portable Nintendo Switch and it’s just amazing how that device is able to take on graphic intensive games like DOOM Eternal and Dark Souls Remastered. The Diablo III Eternal Collection for the Switch will include the original game, the latest Rise of the Necromancer and the Reaper of Souls – which also includes an armor set, Ganondorf, from the Legend of Zelda.
Just like other platforms, the Switch version will also allow for multiplayer of up to 4 players in local co-op on a single Switch or separate Switches without internet connection. Diablo III will cost $59.99 (around RM 245.69) and will be released for the Switch sometime later this year.
There may be more surprises in the future for the Diablo franchise as it was announced by the Associate Community Manager Brandy Camel last week. With BlizzCon 2018 happening in November 2nd to 3rd, we’re bound to get some info then on what they have in stores for us of the Diablo franchise.
