With the announcement of Diablo II Resurrected this weekend, Blizzard have also announced the PC specs required to play the remaster of one of the most iconic looters of the Action RPG genre.
While the game isn’t out yet, you can sneak a glance at the Diablo II Resurrected PC specs over on Blizzard’s website. Thankfully, the game isn’t a total beef-eater, and has relatively modest hardware requirements. Here are the minimum requirements for running the game, as per Blizzard’s website.
Minimum Specs
OS | Windows 10 |
CPU | Intel® Core i3-3250/AMD FX-4350 |
GPU | Nvidia GTX 660/AMD Radeon HD 7850 |
Memory | 8GB RAM |
Storage | 30 GB |
Resolution | 1280 x 720 |
The big takeaway from the minimum stats is that most computers bought this decade should be able to get their claws on Diablo II Resurrected. One thing to note is that while Diablo III may have had OSX support from launch, Diablo II very much doesn’t, and will be Windows early until Blizzard says otherwise.
Aside from that, the minimum specs require you to run it at 720p resolution, which most laptops should be able to support.
Recommended Specs
OS | Windows 10 |
CPU | Intel® Core i5-9600k/AMD Ryzen 5 2600 |
GPU | Nvidia GTX 1060/AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT |
Memory | 16 GB Ram |
Storage | 30 GB |
Resolution | 1920 x 1080 |
The recommended specs for Diablo II Resurrected, although beefier than the minimum, are still largely modest, not requiring any high-end hardware to run it. Considering the current gaming standard is i7 processers, the i5 CPU should be easily attainable by most computers. The only thing likely to knock up the price of a machine to run it is the 16gb RAM requirement, but even that’s becoming increasingly commonplace.
From the specifications it sounds like the game won’t go any higher than 1080p, so don’t expect 4K support when the game launches later this year for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4.
