Devil May Cry Pinnacle of Combat, the upcoming China-exclusive mobile game based on the Devil May Cry series has released a new featurette, giving us a better look at the Vergil and his moveset.
The featurette, posted to the game’s website, shows off some of the behind-the-scenes details that go into making Vergil, before cutting to a short gameplay sequence with the Son of Sparda.
Like in his prior appearances, Vergil uses the Yamato, along with Summoned Swords to replace what would be his gun button. Many of his special Summoned Sword skills are still in the game, such as Spiral Swords, which creates a damaging aura around him.
On top of that he also has Heavy Sword Rain, a special move that in the mainline DMC games would cause enemies to freeze in place on contact.
While Dante was confirmed to have multiple weapons all based on his appearnce in DMC 3, Vergil has so far only been shown to use the Yamato in Devil May Cry Pinnacle of Combat. Moves like his Force Edge and Beowulf haven’t been shown in the trailer, meaning there’s a good chance he’s only getting the Yamato. However, he can still do a variety of moves with the sword, such as his signature Judgement Cut.
