Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat ‘s Open Beta is now available for pre-download, albeit for a limited time.
According to the game’s page on TapTap, you’ll need to download the game before 26th March if you want to get into the game’s previously announced Open Beta.
Currently the Open Beta is only available for Android devices, since there’s no iOS version available on TapTap. It’s not known if having a Chinese App Store account will get you into the beta if you’re an iOS user.
It’s not clear if previously announced characters like Vergil and Lady would also be available in the Open Beta, since they were also shown in the trailers. Vergil even recently got his own featurette, so the chances of everyone’s favorite Son of Sparda also being playable are pretty high.
The contents of the Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat Open Beta are still largely unknown, but it’s safe to assume it’ll be stages to show off the game’s combat system and possibly at least one bossfight.
Despite being a mobile game, Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat has gone to great lengths to emulate the feeling of Devil May Cry’s frantic and stylish combat. Despite having UI elements reminiscent of Devil May Cry V, the game’s character models are more evocative of their appearances in Devil May Cry 3, with Lady and Vergil both making their debut in those games. The game had previously been in Pre-Registration up until this point.
