During the recent Nintendo Direct, Detective Pikachu Returns will be launching to the Nintendo Switch on 6th October 2023.
To those who might not be familiar, Detective Pikachu features Tim Goodman along with a talking Pikachu who also works as a detective as they around place to place while solving various mystery cases. The original Detective Pikachu game was originally launched on the Nintendo 3DS device back in 2016.
From the trailer, we’re able to see that the iconic duo will be making a return to solve mysteries. While we didn’t get to see any gameplay of the upcoming sequel, it’s safe to assume that Detective Pikachu Returns will feature similar gameplay mechanics, but with improved graphics for the Nintendo Switch.
We also got to see some brand new Pokemon that wasn’t present in the previous title such as Raboot, Indeedee, Milcery, and Inteleon, which originate from the Galar region in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
While there wasn’t much revealed, it’s been confirmed that we will be getting further updates on the upcoming title in a later date.
To reiterate, Detective Pikachu Returns will be launching on Nintendo Switch on the 6th October 2023. For more information, do check out the official Nintendo website here.
