Destiny Child is a collectible card game that was launched in October 2016. The game is only available in South Korea now through their KaoKao app. With its cool and interesting card gameplay, the game has garnered fans all over South Korea and is seen to have reached 1 million downloads!
Check out their trailer if you haven’t seen it yet:
If you are not familiar with games of this genre, rest assured, as Destiny Child features a rather extensive tutorial which will guide you through with the cards thoroughly explained on their usage. Other aspects of the game are also detailed, so you will be proficient in no time at all. Speaking of its other features, in addition to building your deck, there are various customisation options made available.
As the trailer suggests, the game is very pleasing to look at, as the characters are rendered in Live 2D, which gives characters a pseudo-3D appearance while allowing them to maintain their 2D aesthetics. With several hundreds of characters at your disposal, the sky’s the limit when it comes to building your deck.
Unfortunately, the developers have not made it easy for people to play their game, as you will require a Kakao account in order to log in, ignoring the fact is only available in Korean. Of course, this serves purpose, as you will be able to save your progress on the account and resume on any other platform. However, if you are fan of such games, that should not have to stop you.
So if you want to play the game, maybe it’s time to pick up a new language. Maybe Korean perhaps!
