Universal Studios Japan ( USJ ) has announced they will be launching a new collaboration ride, featuring the popular Demon Slayer anime.
The news comes following the grand reopening of the theme park, after being closed then semi-open following Japan’s State of Emergency due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Demon Slayer attraction opens in USJ from September 17th, and will run until February 13th, 2022. We don’t know anything else about the attraction, such as whether or not it would use the same track as previous collaboration attractions like Attack on Titan and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Collaborations Galore At USJ
USJ has become well-known for its collaborations, which go far beyond the scope of movies produced by Universal Studios. The Japan chapter of the theme park franchise has done collaborations with popular anime like the aforementioned Attack on Titan and Evangelion, as well as games such as Monster Hunter, with the latter even having in-game rewards to tie in to the event.
On top of that USJ is also known for having whole parks dedicated to some collabs, such as with the Super Nintendo World collaboration that was meant to launch earlier this year.
While the park was fully closed since April thanks to the Covid 19 pandemic, it was allowed to open on weekends from June 1st. As of June 26th, the park is now fully open again.
