SEGA and CyberConnect2’s Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is coming out on Nintendo Switch with its release date being June 9, 2022. Check out the announcement trailer below:
First released on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, the game follows the events that took place in season 1 of Demon Slayer as well as the Mugen Train movie. The Switch port has all 24 characters, including the 6 new playable characters added in updates on the other platforms. In addition, purchasing the Switch version also comes with in-game Kimetsu Points, which can be used for unlocking characters and costumes, as well as Butterfly Mansion Patient Wear, which was previously released on other platforms as a bonus in the Deluxe Edition. On top of that, this version also grants immediate access to the Kimetsu Academy Summer Uniform Costumes for characters in Versus Mode.
The Switch version offers the option of either Japanese or English voiceover. Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles also has English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese language options for subtitles.
If you aren’t aware, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles features Adventure Mode, which lets players relive the story of Demon Slayer and explore Taisho-era Japan, as well as Versus Mode, where players can duke it out against each other as Demons and Demon Slayers alike.
