Bandai Namco had just announced a Demon Slayer collaboration with the popular Tamagotchi hand held device where the first wave is set to be released in October while the second wave will be available in December.
Demon Slayer Tamagotchi Overview
As fans would have guessed it, we’ll be able to raise pixelated chibi versions of some of the fan favorite Demon Slayer characters from the series such as Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Inosuke Hashibara, Zenitsu Agatsuma and even the 9 Hashiras/Pillars.
Available to purchase from Amazon Japan for the price of around 2,300 yen without tax (~RM90), there will be different variations of the Tamagotchi device where each design would share the same similarities as the character themselves.
And as any Tamagotchi raising game, you have to take the responsibilities of taking care of these virtual characters by feeding them food such as onigiri when they’re feeling hungry or even playing tennis with them as a form of training for them.
Not only that, your virtual characters might have to go on special missions given by the Demon Slayer brigade Kakushi to go on and hunt demons such as the demons from the upper moon and even the big baddie himself Muzan Kibutsuji, just like in the series.
