Demon Slayer Shinobu Sword Available For Pre-Order

You can now roleplay your favorite Demon Slayer character with the new toy based off of the sword of Shinobu Kocho, available now for pre-order. 

The sword measures almost 2 feet long (55cm), and even has dripping Wisteria Poison from its blade to match its likeness from Demon Slayer. It’s part of Bandai’s Demon Slayer DX Nichirinto line of toy swords based on the anime. Shinobu’s sword is the second in the line, after the previously released Tanjiro sword.

The Demon Slayer DX Nichirinto Shinobu Sword will retail for 5995 Yen, and can be pre-ordered via P-Bandai’s website. The toy itself will be available in April 2021.

It features two different noise modes, with one mode playing “Insect Breathing” noises, playing noises from Shinobu’s Insect Breathing technique. The other mode is the “Famous Scene” mode, which includes voicelines by Shinobu’s voice actress, Saori Hayami. The butterflies on the blade also light up in these modes, leading to some fun play sessions.

Obviously, the blade’s a little short if you’re planning to get it for cosplay purposes. It’s great for a child though, since that’s definitely who it was targeted for. Still, it’s a great piece of Demon Slayer memorabilia, especially with the franchise’s seemingly endless momentum and popularity.
