SEGA has announced that Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! is now released on the Nintendo Switch.
Alongside the announcement, SEGA also released a launch trailer to accompany the official release.
Game Overview
Produced by Aniplex, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! is a digital tabletop game adapted from the 2019 anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba.
Featuring boards inspired by the world of the series, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! is a lively online and offline board game experience where you complete events and minigames during the daytime and hunt demons when night falls.
Iconic Location from the Series
Prominent locations from the anime, such as Mount Fujikasane, Asakusa, the Mugen Train, and the Swordsmith Village, will show up on the board.
Use your Favorite Demon Slayer
Play as your favorite character such as Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, and many more! Each Demon Slayer swordsman possesses their own Slayer’s Dice that grants powerful effects unique to each member.
Once used, it’ll take three turns before it can be used again. If another Demon-Slayer swordsman becomes an ally, players will be able to use their Slayer’s Dice in addition to their own.
Minigames Aplenty
As the game progresses, players will participate in a number of minigames, ranging from 4-player free-for-alls to 2-on-2 team battles.
Furthermore, demons will spawn during nighttime, including powerful foes like Akaza and Hantengu will appear on some of the squares, allowing players to challenge them in combat-based minigames.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was an anime adaptation of the manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge.
The original manga series was serialized in Shueisha’s shounen manga magazine Weekly Shounen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, with its chapters collected in 23 tankoubon volumes. By February 2021, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has over 150 million copies in circulation, making it the best-selling manga of all time.
