Netmarble has revealed more information about their upcoming project, DEMIS RE:BORN, a collective RPG based on the publisher’s own Grand Cross IP universe.
During the G-Star 2023 event that was held at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in South Korea, publisher Netmarble released new information about their upcoming action mobile title, DEMIS RE:BORN.
Developed by Netmarble F&C, DEMIS RE:BORN is described as a collective RPG based on the worldview of the Grand Cross universe.
Taking on the role of Connectors, players play as individuals endowed with unique powers and encounter Transcendents that have entered the world through the Grand Cross phenomenon that had connected various dimensions.
Previously titled Grand Cross S, the world of DEMIS RE:BORN will feature mythological or historical figures reinterpreted with modern narratives, including the characters of Odin, Selen, Orphne, Somnia, Sekhmet, Haewonmac, and more.
As Connectors and Transcendents, players are tasked to retrieve out-of-place artifacts known as OOPARTS as they would bring about chaos and destruction to the world.
Gameplay
The combat of the game is described to feature strategic gameplay where players can deploy characters into battle and use various abilities to target enemies during the right moment for tactical advantages.
As a gacha title, players would collect various Transcendents to build decks that would suit their gameplay style.
Every Transcendent will have their own unique sets of skills but also cinematic ultimate moves that can wipe out enemies in an instant with added flair.
On top of combat, DEMIS RE:BORN will also feature an explorable world where players can collect various objects, solve puzzles, trigger events, and engage in battle.
The headquarters or player hub of the game is known as Channel Exceed and players would be able to interact with various NPCs in the building, including accessing the Story Mode.
As of writing, there is no official release date announced yet, but DEMIS RE:BORN is currently in development for Android, iOS, and PC.
