During the 6th Anniversary Undertale Stream, Toby Fox announced that Deltarune Chapter 2 will be coming out later this week on the 17th 2021 at 5 pm PT which would be 08:00 am on the 18th in MYT.
This was later confirmed on Toby Fox’s Twitter account.
Deltarune Chapter 2 is the follow-up to Deltarune Chapter 1, which in itself was the spiritual follow-up to Fox’s indie hit Undertale. Deltarune Chapter 1 was released on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch for free. We currently do not know the price for Deltarune Chapter 2 or if it will be free like the first game.
Toby Fox had previously said in a post in September 2020 on the official Deltarune website that the game was in production however that it would take a bit longer to make than Undertale because:
Graphics are more complicated and several times more involved
Systems are more complicated
Exposes the weak points of my creative and artistic ability
Plot is much harder to tie together (more characters, more important locations)
Significantly more content than UT in 1 playthrough (especially cutscenes)
I have only made one game ever
This news come a day after the announcement that popular Undertale characters Sans and Papyrus would be getting Nendoroid figurines. in their likeness. It seems there we’ll be seeing far from the franchise in the future.
