Razer announces the launch of the Razer DeathAdder V2, and the Razer Basilisk V2. The former is the latest iteration of Razer’s best selling mouse, while the latter is the brand’s highly customizable gaming mouse. Both have been upgraded and refreshed with the latest in Razer’s industry-leading mouse technology.
The DeathAdder has had over 30 variations of its iconic design which has sold over 10 million units worldwide as of 2019. The signature design and class-leading ergonomics have been kept, but now also featuring Razer’s Focus+ Optical Sensor, Optical Mouse Switches and Razer Speedflex Cable.
“Razer has always strived for perfection with every product we make, and we’ve continually finetuned and honed the DeathAdder over the years.”
“With the DeathAdder V2, we’ve taken the most iconic gaming mouse on the market and improved it even further, to give gamers the ultimate weapon and honor the DeathAdder’s reputation of being ‘the unfair advantage’.”
Alvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Peripherals Business Unit
The DeathAdder’s unique ergonomic shape is best suited for palm grip users and works well for claw grip users. This optimized design provides greater comfort for gaming, reducing stress and eliminating finger drag points. The V2 has that and more; with a new sweat-resistant coating and rubberized side grips for better control. The DeathAdder V2’s refined scroll wheel for distinct, notched scrolling at a lower resistance, all in a sleek, 82g lightweight design for the best gaming experience.
As mentioned, the DeathAdder V2 has the Razer Focus+ Optical Sensor, the highest sensor specifications in the market with added new intelligent functions: new Smart Tracking, Asymmetric Cut-off and Motion Sync features, for incredible precision. Razer Optical Mouse Switches in the DeathAdder V2 use infrared light beams to actuate clicks and eliminates unintended double-clicks. Ultra-fast and durable, the switches are both accurate and built to last, up to 70 million clicks.
That’s not all, the DeathAdder V2 also has the highly flexible Razer Speedflex Cable, providing less friction and snagging on normal pinc-points, minimizing desktop and ‘edge drag’ for large, unhindered swipes and snag free movements. 8 programmable buttons are fully customizable via Razer Synapse 3 for quick access to macros and secondary functions through Razer HyperShift. HyperShift allows secondary functions assigned to any button and activated by user-defined shift key or button.
Last but not least, the DeathAdder V2 has Advanced On-board Memory, allowing up to 5 profiles saved onto the mouse for users to access their personalized settings anywhere, anytime. With Razer Chroma RGB support, people can have their preferred colour scheme too, and sync their mouse with other Razer Chroma enabled devices.
