The next major AAA title to arrive on iPhone and Mac is the post-apocalyptic odd world of Death Stranding by renowned video game designer Hideo Kojima.
Originally slated to launch last December prior to a delay, Kojima Productions has just revealed that Death Stranding: Director’s Cut will be launching on compatible iPhone and Mac on January 30, 2024.
The game will be compatible with iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and any iPad, Mac, or future Apple devices powered by the M1 chip or newer.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is also currently available for pre-order on the App Store, and to commemorate the release date announcement, it is currently discounted by 50% from its normal price of $34.99 (RM 165.70~).
Initially announced back at Apple’s WWDC 2023 annual conference, the post-apocalyptic title was among the major AAA games that were announced to come to iPhone 15 alongside Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4, and Resident Evil Village.
“This is just the beginning, and we are actively working to bring our future titles to Apple platforms,” said Hideo Kojima.
Currently, Kojima Productions is working on a sequel to Death Stranding for the PlayStation 5 as well as a new project named OD in collaboration with Xbox Game Studios and renowned horror filmmaker Jordan Peele.
Kojima Productions also unveiled a team-up with A24 Films for a live-action movie adaptation of Death Stranding last month.
