Death Stranding Director’s Cut details have been released for the SEA region. Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be available on PS5 on 24 September 2021, if you’re one of the lucky SEA console owners.
Dubbed the definitive edition, the Director’s Cut will be fully remastered and expanded for PS5, meaning new content and enhanced gameplay features. You’ll be getting more weapons, equipment, vehicles, new modes, missions, areas to explore, expanded storylines and UI enhancements. New online features including Friend Play and Leaderboards will be available, with details to follow.
All the new content was built and developed from the ground up following the launch of the original, base game, intending to expand Death Stranding‘s world while enhancing the core game experience; from the Firing Range, additional missions, and all-new Fragile Circuit racing mode.
You’ll be able to discover many of the new content simply by discovering them as you go along, while some others will need a little more effort. Details on these will also be shared at a later time. Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 content from the PC version will be coming to the Director’s Cut. PS4 save data will be transferable, so fret not.
PS5 features include:
- Experience environment effects with the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback.
- Get closer to the world of Death Stranding with bespoke adaptive trigger resistance.
- Hear sound effects come to life in 3D Audio (requires compatible headphones).
- Get into the action quickly with the PS5 console’s ultra-fast SSD and near-instant load times.
- Choose from two picture modes – Performance Mode with upscaled 4K and up to 60FPS or Fidelity Mode in native 4K – both with ultra-wide and HDR support.
Owners of Death Stranding on PS4 can get the PS5 Director’s Cut Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade at SGD18 / MYR50 / IDR150,000 / THB300.
