Japan-based publisher Izanagi Games is bringing Death Come True, its upcoming full motion video game for the mobile platforms and the Nintendo Switch on 25 June 2020.
A PC and PlayStation 4 launch will follow suit on a later date. An overview for the game, which is written and directed by Kazutaka Kodaka of Danganronpa fame, as follows:
The story takes place in a hotel. The main character, Makoto Karaki (Kanata Hongo) is a wanted serial killer. However, he has lost all of his memories. Under such circumstances, when he dies, he has a mysterious ability to “time leap” and return to the past. As he’s being chased like a criminal, who can he trust? Who should he be wary of? What is his true identity? The man searches to find the truth as he repeats decisions and death.
The cast list rather star-studded, as it features the likes of Kanata Hongo, Chiaki Kuriyama, Win Morisaki, Yuki Kaji, Chihiro Yamamoto, Jiro Sato. Meanwhile, music will be overseen by Masafumi Takada, the composer responsible for Danganronpa series. FMV games used to be rage back in the day, so it is definitely nice for the developer to acknowledge that fact and come up with a genre that made the most use of this.
