Behaviour Interactive, the developer of the horror game Dead by Daylight, has announced that the highly anticipated Castlevania Chapter will launch on August 27. Fans eager to get an early look can access the content through the Steam public test build starting August 6.
This collaboration brings the iconic Castlevania franchise into the realm of Dead by Daylight, merging two beloved horror gaming experiences. The chapter introduces Dracula as a new Killer, marking the game’s first shapeshifting and vampire character. Players will have the opportunity to control Dracula in various forms, including Vampire, Bat, and Wolf, each with unique abilities for hunting Survivors.
Additionally, Trevor Belmont joins the roster as a new Survivor, bringing with him the legacy of the vampire-hunting Belmont clan. His character is specifically designed to excel in teamwork and utilize his vampire-hunting skills within the game’s mechanics. The update also includes a visual treat for players. When Dracula is the active Killer on an Original Map, his iconic castle will be visible on the horizon, adding to the atmospheric horror of the game.
Dead by Daylight’s creative director, Dave Richard, expressed enthusiasm about bringing Dracula’s transformative abilities to the game, citing inspiration from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
The Castlevania Chapter represents a significant addition to Dead by Daylight, which is currently available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
