Netease has announced the release date for Dead By Daylight mobile, the smartphone/tablet version of their popular asymmetrical horror experience.
According to 4Gamer, Dead By Daylight Mobile will release on April 28th, with the game already in pre-registration.
Fans in Japan will be able to try the game even earlier than that, as it will have an Android-only Beta in the region with progress carrying over into the full game starting March 24th.
It’s currently unknown if any other countries might also be getting their own soft launches for the game ahead of its full release.
The game’s official launch will also see the start of Season 1 for Dead by Daylight, will all players on the Asian server competing against each other for seasonal rewards, though the exact nature of these rewards hasn’t been shown off yet.
Dead By Daylight has a popular cult following, featuring various killers based loosely on horror movie icons as well as some straight-up licensed characters making appearances in the game as well.
While far from the first competitive asymmetrical game, Dead By Daylight can be considered one of the most popular entries in the genre- its own popularity spawning similar games such as the also-on-mobile Identity V.
The mobile version will feature skins for your different characters, including plans for Limited Edition skins which will add “Execution actions” to your characters.
