Popular asymmetric horror game Dead By Daylight is getting cross-play, developers Behaviour Interactive announced.
While PC and consoles would have cross-play enabled, Behaviour Interactive announced that cross-play would not be coming to the Dead By Daylight’s mobile version.
In an FAQ on their website, the developers mentioned that you can opt out of cross-play, although it will have an impact on your ability to find matches.
The game is also getting a unified friends list, allowing you to add friends even if they’re on other platforms.
However, they have clarified that cross-platform chat will not be available as only PC players will have access to it.
They also clarified that mouse and keyboard support would not be coming to consoles.
Finally, they announced that cross-progression will not be implemented. However, they did plan to add it down the line in its own update
Dead By Daylight has had a good year, with collaborations like the Silent Hill update that added Pyramid Head as one of the game’s killers.
That’s not the first cross-over, as Dead By Daylight has also had crossovers with mainstream media like Stranger Things.
Dead By Daylight is available on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
