Dauntless, the highly anticipated monster slaying MMORPG for the PC thanks to Phoenix Labs has just rolled their Open Beta yesterday (24th May). Players got to download the game and install but was unable to login as there were too many players logging in at the same time. See the screenshot below.
There were over 60,000 players who were on queue which of course made the devs decide to close the servers down and investigate the issue. They have been kind and transparent enough to update us on Twitter every 30 minutes. So that way, we would know what’s actually happening while they fix the issue. Check out their latest tweet below!

If you don’t know what the hype is about with this game, Dauntless is an MMORPG for the PC where you slay giant monsters called Behemoths in order to protect your town, Ramsgate. This might be a little familiar with Monster Hunter, also a monster-slaying game by Capcom. However both these games have their own merits and I’d say that Dauntless is one that you must try before making a judgment.
So while Phoenix Labs are still trying their best to bring the servers back, we hope that players would patiently wait and re-think before spouting any hatred towards the devs. Let’s keep our PMAs (Positive Mental Attitude) in check and breathe. It’s not like you don’t have anything else better to do with your life, right? 😀
