Dauntless, the online action RPG released for the PC this year, will launch for the console, mobile and Epic Games Store in 2019. Developers made the announcement during The Game Awards 2018 earlier today.
Dauntless takes place in a fantasy setting, where a cataclysmic event has torn the world apart, releasing monster-like Behemoths that prey on the surviving humans. Players play as Slayers to take down Behemoths, collecting loot that they use to craft and upgrade weapons and equipment as to take down larger and more powerful Behemoths. Basically, the game sounds similar to Monster Hunter.
Developers, Phoenix Labs, intended to make the game accessible to as many players as possible. In order to make it possible, starting next year, Dauntless players can now play cross-platforms with other players. This means that players on the PC can play with players using the mobile phone. Furthermore, when players log in to their One Dauntless account, all their progression will be saved and carried over to the next platform.
In addition to the announcement, the game is currently running a winter event, The Shattered Isles. The new update includes brand new seasonal content with the introduction of a new boss. On the other hand, Phoenix Labs has released a new Hunt Pass that will gives players challenges and rewards.
Dauntless will launch for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and the Epic Games Store first in April 2019. Unfortunately for mobile players, the smartphone and Nintendo Switch release will come later that year.
