Date A Live: Spirit Crisis announced for smartphones

Japan-based multi-media conglomerate Kadokawa has just announced that the upcoming Date A Live series will be getting a game spinoff in the form of Date A Live: Spirit Crisis for the Android and iOS platforms.

For the uninitiated, Date A Live is a series of light novels which have in turn spawned several seasons of anime, games and even a movie. To say that this series is still massively popular is an understatement. In any case, Date A Live: Spirit Crisis will easily be the most ambitious project yet, as it will feature just about everyone who has made an appearance throughout the years.

Although the developer has yet to disclose gameplay details, judging by the last game entry in the series, Date A Live: Spirit Pledge, one can safely assume that it will be an action game of sorts plus a mixture of dating simulator aspects. It is worth mentioning also that Spirit Pledge received a global release, so there is a good chance that we will seeing Spirit Crisis receiving a similar treatment at some point.
