Too Kyo Games and Spike Chunsoft announced that they are working on a new game called ‘Enigma Archives: Rain Code’ from the same staff that made the DanganRonpa games. This was revealed at the end of the ‘Danganronpa 10th Anniversary Event: Ultimate Class Reunion’.
The has already been confirmed to be getting an English release with an official English website and a teaser trailer:
Spike Chunsoft and Too Kyo Games Unveil New Project! Enigma Archives: Rain Code, a new dark fantasy mystery game, is being co-developed with Tookyo Games, the creative team behind the hit Danganronpa series. Details to be announced.
This will be a new ‘dark mystery game’ developed by Too Kyo Games whose staff consists of DanganRonpa alumni Kazutaka Kodaka as the scenario writer, Masafumi Takada as composer (who also did the No More Heroes soundtrack), and Rui Komatsuzaki doing the art and illustrations.
Little has been revealed about Enigma Archives: Rain Code in terms of a release date and what consoles it will come to. A few screenshots of the game were released to Famitsu. The most noticeable aspect of these is that the game seems to maintain the same hot pink blood that the Danganronpa series had.
A compilation of the DanganRonpa Trilogy has recently been released for Nintendo Switch called Danganronpa Decadence.
Hopefully, we’ll get more information about this dark fantasy adventure game sometime in the near future.
