EDM-themed Rhythm game D4DJ Groovy Mix has announced a D4DJ Monster Hunter Collab, due 12th January. They announced the date for the collab with a trailer using music that would be featured in the event.
The collab shows off the girls of in-game group Photon Maiden decked out in Monster Hunter gear, all themed around powerful endgame monsters such as Kirin and Rajang.
On top of that, the event will also feature remixes of iconic Monster Hunter songs, done by popular artists such as TeddyLoid and DJ’Tekina//SOMETHING. The tracklist includes specific tracks like Proof Of A Hero, as well as more generalized medleys, remixed by the various guest artists .
It should be noted that a majority of these tracks are from Monster Hunter World, so expectations should be tempered accordingly if you’re hoping to hear an EDM remix of your favorite niche monsters, or anything from the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise.
One more special card was teased at the end of the event, though it hasn’t been shown fully yet. From the little details we can see though, it’s a character decked out in Teostra gear, using the Longsword class of weapon. According to the D4DJ Twitter account, they’ll reveal the card in full and update the app’s icon to feature the art.
D4DJ Groovy Mix doesn’t currently have an English release, though knowing Bushiroad’s track record it’s only a matter of time. We can only hope licensing issues don’t get in the way of bringing the D4DJ Monster Hunter Collab to the English fans if the game gets an English release.
