The release dates for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 have been announced, arriving on September 26th and 21st respectively.
The Phantom Liberty expansion is a new spy-thriller adventure for Cyberpunk 2077, where players will return to the world of Cyberpunk as the cyber-enhanced mercenary, V, and embark on a high-stakes missions to save the NUS President.
The DLC will also add new quests, locations, stories, characters, and abilities to the game.
Also making its arrival is Update 2.0, which will include features that fixes issues that players have had with the game, alongside some new content.
New features include:
- Combat AI overhaul
- Redesigned Cyberware & Perks
- New items, including weapons and more
- Revamped police
- UI and UX improvements
- New radio stations
- Vehicle Combat & Mounted Weaponry:
– Option to shoot your pistols or SMGs from the back of your motorcycle, straight through your car’s windshield, or out of its side window
– Shoot with open sliding doors in cars with CrystalDome tech
– Ability to use melee weapons while on a bike
– Using the new mounted weapons on certain nomad cars that utilize the CrystalDome tech
– New car hacking abilities for netrunners
CD Projekt Red have also announced that a new sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, code named Orion, is currently under development.
