Square Enix has announced that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion has officially launched today, December 13th, 2022, worldwide.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The PC version for the game will be available tomorrow via Steam and Microsoft Store.
The game is a HD remaster of the original Crisis Core which was released on September 13th, 2007 for the PlayStation Portable and PC. Reunion is a faithful retelling of the original plot and will not include any new changes or additions influenced from Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The story begins seven years before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII (1997) and follows Zack Fair, a young and ambitious Shinra SOLDIER. Zack is tasked with tracking down an AWOL SOLDIER named Genesis Rhapsodos.
But as his adventure unfolds, he discovers the dark secrets of Shinraʼs experiments and the monsters they create, unraveling the stories of Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith, Tifa and more.
