Crash Bandicoot: On The Run, the mobile spinoff of the popular Crash Bandicoot series is now available to download and install in Malaysia.
While the game’s release window is officially Spring 2021, Malaysian users have reported that the game is available to install on the Google Play store. iOS fans aren’t quite as lucky though, as the game is still only listed as being under pre-order.
There’s been no acknowledgement of this by the game’s official Twitter, either. Instead, its most recent tweets still imply the game’s release date will be in spring of next year.
According to IGN, the game has seen a soft launch in some Asian countries from as early as late September. Malaysia seems to be the latest to join the soft-launch rollout, having only been in pre-registration since last we reported on it. Similar to now, the official Twitter has been silent on the nature of this soft launch.
Crash Bandicoot: On The Run is a mobile “runner” genre developed by Candy Crush creators King. It features levels designed with the same zaniness of Crash Bandicoot, although the level format is more based around making sure the mascot is running in the right lane. Similar to Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time, one of the big features of this game will be the ability to customize your Crash to your liking.
