The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has seemingly leaked the unannounced Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One platforms. From the box art, it’s developed by Sypro Reignited Trilogy studio, Toys for Bob.
The description provided with the rating states as follows:
Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.
Besides the apparent timey wimey shenanigans, could the appearance of Coco indicate her as being playable? She has been playable before so it wouldn’t be unusual, to say the least. The Quantum Masks would certainly appear to play major roles as the plot tokens, different Masks presumably opening up new powers for Crash.
It’s been a bit since the last proper action platformer Crash Bandicoot whenever 4 comes out – presumably soon-ish, considering it getting leaked now – since Warped got remade for the N. Sane Trilogy in 2017. We’d also assume celebratory releases in Nitro-Fueled whenever this comes out, so stay tuned.
