Craftopia developers Pocket Pair has announced that their staff will receive two days off, allowing them all to play Elden Ring as the game launches.
They announced the movie via their Twitter, which sees the staff getting both Friday and Monday off so the staff can enjoy the latest from From Software’s RPG series.
“Pocket Pair is offering Elden leave to all eligible employees!”, the tweet reads. “Elden Lords need not come to work on Friday and Monday!”
This is a growingly popular move by Japanese companies, who give employees days off on major game releases.
Last year saw similar action by certain companies during the launch of Monster Hunter Rise as well, while employees themselves took leave for the release of the Endwalker expansion for Final Fantasy XIV Online.
Elden Ring has seen a lot of hype building up to its release, after multiple years of radio silence following the game’s initial announcement, so it makes sense a lot of people like the Craftopia developers would want to take time off just to play the game.
Pocket Pair is the developer of Craftopia, an open world rpg as well as Palworld, their dystopian take on monster collectors a la the Pokemon series that also features firearms.
