Since the existence of the battle royale genre that got blown up through PUBG and Fortnite, the genre has seen multiple recreations either on PC or mobile games. That said, the popular CS:GO is also taking a bite at the cake to add a battle royale mode. It is not unexpected as CS:GO is a first-person shooter on PC and since Black Ops 4 has done it, why not CS:GO?
With the circulation of the screenshots of developers playing on a ‘survival’ map, some data miners have found a map called xl_enclave, which is believed to be the the name of the ‘survival’ map. This information was leaked by Nors3 on Twitter which wrote, “Devs are testing Mode Survival for Op9. Probably people gonna leak the image but I won’t do it, let them work.”
As based on a Redditor who discovered the battle royale hint, there are a string of console commands that were listed of what seems to be commands for a battle royale mode like the supply crate model: models/props/props_br/br_supply_crate/br_supply_crate.mdl models/props/props_br/br_supply_crate/br_supply_crate_chute.mdl models/props/props_br/br_supply_crate/br_supply_crate_small.mdl
Though those information were leaked since May, this time with the proof of photos, it’s not just a rumor anymore. Battle Royale is soon to be coming to CS:GO in the near future.
