The Japan release for Counter: Side will launch on 16 December 2021, with official goods to be sold at the Winter Comiket 2021 event on 30 and 31 December. Published by Nexon Japan, this release will feature Japanese dubbing and a theme song performed by Nana Mizuki. The SEA version utilizes Korean voices, if you were wondering.

As with its SEA launch, Counter: Side Japan will also have an official PC client, presumably to be made available on launch day. Pre-registrations remain open in Japan, with milestone rewards up to 700,000 users, offering upgrade materials and premium currency. Follow and retweet giveaway campaigns are available through the official Japanese Twitter as is usual, besides various introductions and overviews of the game and characters.
