Countdown begins for Twisted Wonderland!

The official Twisted Wonderland Twitter account has begun a countdown! With 23 days and a caption coyly saying:

“Don’t doze off. Don’t you know you can get lost in a maze of roses?”

… it would seem the official release date should be 19 March 2020. They’ve released quite a few promotional videos and commercials as well, before finally hitting us with this countdown. The last time we covered the game’s pre-registration period, they had already reached 1.3 million back in October, with up to at least 1.4 million users signed up. Pre-registration rewards are as follows:

• 150,000: 1 x Lesson Item Set of 3
• 300,000: 3 x Magical Keys
• 500,000: 5 x Star Fragments L
• 750,000: 10 x Magical Keys
• 1,000,000: 1 x Blessed Magical Key
• 1,100,000: 1 x Magical Key, 1 x Lesson Item Set of 3
• 1,200,000: 1 x Magical Key, 5 x Star Fragments L
• 1,300,000: 1 x Magical Key, 1 x Lesson Item Set of 3
• 1,400,000: 1 x Magical Key, 5 x Star Fragments L
• 1,500,000: 1 x Magical Key, 1 x Lesson Item Set of 3 (not yet achieved)

A live event where visitors could experience a random House Leader speaking to them as part of their admission to Night Raven College was later provided online. Aniplex has also put a variety of things in a special archive on the game’s official website for your perusal.

You can also check out our previous coverage on the game’s systems, which will feature a blend of visual novel, rhythm game, and battle. There’s still nothing regarding an English release yet, so we’ll see if the initial hype carries over to the game’s release. Sit tight and follow the Twisted Wonderland countdown!
