To celebrate April Fools Day, Cookie Run Kingdom has included a new event in its latest update called ‘Romance Kingdom: Sugar Sweet Destiny’.
The event is a parody of early 2000s dating sims, taking place in “Kingdom High”, a high school with anthropomorphized versions of the Cookie-run characters acting as students.
The context of the event is that Strawberry Cookie funs an old dating sim in a dumpster and decides to boot it up to play. In the game inside the game, you play as a high schooler who has received a love letter in your locker and must now investigate who gave it to you. Like many dating sims, you are able to make different choices that affect what ending you get.
We haven’t explored every outcome of Romance Kingdom but there are at least five humanized cookies for you to pursue as love interests:
- Rachel Rhaspebrry (Raspberry Cookie)
- Herbert Hoo (Herb Cookie)
- Marcus Madeleine (Madeleine Cookie)
- Derek DaChoco (Dark Choco Cookie)
- Serene Faire (Sea Fairy Cookie)
There could be more potential characters but you’ll need to unlock them and see for yourself. The dating sim has both good and bad endings so really think about what choices you’re going to make.
This is the second time that Cookie Run Kingdom has had its cast of cookies turn into humans on April Fools Day. Last year they had the Shroomie Shenanigans event which turned cookies into people just for the day.
Cookie Run Kingdom, which includes Romance Kingdom, is available for iOS and Android devices.
