Company of Heroes 3 is getting its first free major update soon called Operation Sapphire Jackal which would come with game updates such as bug fixes and balancing adjustments as well as additional cosmetics for the 4 factions available in the game currently.
Not only that, Operation Sapphire Jackal will offer players Daily and Weekly Challenges that can be completed in both Multiplayer and Co-op modes.
The Challenges are randomly generated and promises to test even the most seasoned Company of Heroes veterans.
The update will also see features such as Unique Player Color option for teammate/enemy come to the game as well as improve tooltips and descriptions on abilities, units and upgrades.
Cosmetics allow players to customize their armies and units in both the multiplayer and single-player modes and can be purchased using earnable and/or premium currency.
The new currencies are called War Bonds and Merits, War Bonds represent the premium currency which can only be obtained by purchasing War Bond packs, while Merit is an earnable in-game currency acquired by completing in-game Challenges which can be used to purchase some but not all items.
Players that own Company of Heroes 3 in Japan, will only be able to purchase items from the in-game store and War Bonds are not available to players in Japan.
