One of the announcements to come out of the League 10 stream is a mobile version of the Rift, League of Legends: Wild Rift. The game takes place in the titular Wild Rift, which looks familiar at first glance.
Already, though, there are key differences. The ground will glow purple from time to time, telling you which lane the “Dragon” is in. From what we played, Jinx, Miss Fortune, Master Yi, Ahri, Garen, Ezreal and other signature heroes of League of Legends entering Wild Rift.
The champions will have 4 skills that include attack skills, Ultimates and Passives. Players can choose 2 spells in a match, like Heal and Flash, simultaneously. At its core, it is not much different from PC League. A veteran player can apply their knowledge to the game and be able to carry their team with ease. Naturally, newer players will need time to practice and get familiar with the mechanics.
Matches are quite fast-paced, able to end in 15 minutes. Items can only be bought at the fountain. “Wards” will be available to players to get vision, but they are not purchasable. Players will have to find the Wards, randomly appearing on the map, then activate them. Other mechanics include a “Tag” button on screen, to change targets.
It will definitely appeal to those who already play League, and likely pick up players from other MOBA games!
