If you’ve ever dreamed about telling the greater internet your opinions about video games, you’re in luck! The GamerBraves writing team is hiring, and we can’t wait to work with the next generation of passionate journalists.
This is a full-time paid position for people based in the Klang Valley, and aspiring applicants can send in their CVs along with a sample of their work to hiring[at]gamerbraves[dot]com with the subject line GamerBraves Journalist Application.
For those of you who need a bit more convincing, let’s go over the responsibilities of being in Malaysia’s leading game news site.
As a member of the GamerBraves editorial team, you’ll be required to stay abreast of all the happenings in the game industry. Whether it’s new studios by the brightest lights of the industry or potential release dates for some of the most anticipated titles, you’ll need to be able to create coverage that is accurate, concise and to the point- no burying the lede.
However, don’t think you’ll just be standing at the sidelines shouting out every gacha game going into pre-registration: you’ll also be reviewing some of the hottest titles, a lot of the time before anyone else gets the chance to get their hands on them.
We’ll need critics with an absolute love for the craft- with the ability to share complex concepts and break them down for the average reader, highlighting some of the best titles of the year. Naturally your ability to keep a secret will also be mandatory- all your opinions, screenshots and more will have to have strict adherence to any embargoes.
Finally, don’t forget our host of interviews- just this year we’ve interviewed an all-star who’s who of the games industry, from Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida to esports legends like Daigo “The Beast” Umehara to even Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto
