On August 28th, an official live broadcast was hosted to unveil new details about the upcoming mobile game Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade.
As reported by Famitsu, the story in Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade will blend elements from the main series with original content created specifically for the game.
One of the new additions coming to the game’s story that isn’t found in the main series is the introduction of three students from the Fukuoka branch school of the magic technical college and the introduction of a new cursed spirit named the Phantom curse.
Concerning the combat mechanics of Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade, the game will feature a turn-based system that allows players to control up to four characters such as Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nanami Kento and more of your favorite characters from the series in battle.
The combat system will have different skills for you to perform that can do varying amounts of damage with each character having a unique special skill of their own.
How it works is that the action will only begin after every member of your party and all the enemies have chosen what skill they will do, and only then everyone will begin their attacks.
A noteworthy detail is that if all party members execute their special skills in a single turn, it triggers a special cooperative attack, reminiscent of Persona 5’s All Out Attack.
Currently, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is scheduled to be released exclusively for mobile devices in Japan later this year, with a potential global release to follow thereafter.
